Hi guys,
it's been a few month since I have my flat 50 set, and I have to say they sound REALLY great!!!
But as a tone perfectionnist (you know what I mean...) I'm looking for extra beef from the neck and middle positions.
I already have the in series positions with the 4 way switch but it's not the same as a fatter neck pickup.
So my point is P90 or humbucker?
And which one?
I was thinking about a NANTUCKET or a MULE.
I like meat but not too much...I'm also considering the STORMY MONDAY and the BLUE NOTE.
What do you think?

Mule is great for the neck. I like Mules, they're perfecty balanced, full, yet crispy. They have a nice vocal tone.

Assuming you don't want the neck pickup to overpower the bridge, I'd stick to something lower output, with an AII or AIV magnet so it doesn't sound harsh in a Tele.
So yeah, Mule or SM for humbuckers, for a P-90 I really like the sound of the Blue Note, although I haven't personally tried them:
Compared to the Half Note 90, the bottom-end is fuller and high-end a lot sweeter which has the effect of softening the mid range. High notes sing with a true, vocal-like quality while the mids have enough weight to punch through without ever sounding honky or nasal.
I probably shouldn't be saying this, because BKP don't make them, but have you considered a minihumbucker or Firebird pickup? They're great in Teles.

FWIW I don't understand why they don't do mini/fb pups.

Thanks for the replies guys :)

Do you have in your telly? I'm concerned about it to be dull, you know way darker than the bridge pickup, I'd like a neck pickup which balance well with the bridge.
This was the case with the original pickups (g&l mfds) but I didn't like the sound...

I'd like an open low output neck pickup but still fatter than the flat 50 neck.
I'd have to rerout my guitar anyway so I have to choose between p90 and humbucker...
As I said my main concern is to get a great balance between the 2 pickups without having to low down one of them.
Yes I thought about a minibucker or firebird, it's stupid but I don't like the look and I think I want something fatter!!
For you guys to know, I know what it's like to have a GOOD fat bucker : I have a Lollar regal neck pickup in my CIJ telecaster custom ;) But I don't want that big of a pickup in my regular tele, and this particular pickup overpowers the poor bridge pickup :D so I want somathing FAT and CLEAR but smaller!
I know I'm difficult...

Yes, in an all mahogany Saint Blues (bolt-on), it's a warm and genuine 59-neck tone. I like this pickup, but if you want something with more topend, I would look at the SM and the Bluenote.
