WWWWWHHHHOOOOOOOO HHHHHOOOOOOO.
I know Gun's suck now but still pretty cool!
-
Anyone know if Tool are playing?
-
I'll bet you a pint that the G n' R's show will be cancelled minutes before the show starts because Axl has a sore throat.
-
I always thought download had shite bands such as Slipknot, but if Metallica are playing, I might have to think about going now :P
Anyone going to Monsters of Rock at Rockingham Speedway (I think thats where it is), only Deep Purple and Alice Cooper confirmed at the minute I think but it could be pretty cool.
-
not interested in seeing guns.... metallica maybe...
but that one tom mentioned sounds cool.... i mean... deep purple!!! my chance to see one of the good ol' bands....!!!
-
Yeah its expensive though, around £35 a ticket at the minute I believe, but Download is more expensive..
-
yer i would expect tickets for a concert like that to be pretty dear though....
not too bad really compared to others...
-
From what I've heard of new GnR, I didn't like the material enough to warrant paying for an expensive ticket and having to put up with a load of stoners and modern metal bands.
Maybe if Motley Crue are playing...
-
I don't think I'd pay to see the fat gut that is Axl Rose waddle around onstage for two hours. Metallica don't really float my boat, either.
I guess I'm more of an indie/rock/punk man...

+1 on that. I'm soo pissed off about Axl trying to resurrect guns'n'roses without the band

When the heck did Monsters of Rock move from Donington Park?
Darn, I HAVE missed alot.
Also, does Ozzfest do the UK?
Thanks,

Alice Cooper will have a cool show. His daughter will be playing Paris Hilton. Her face gets bitten off by her little dog she's carrying.

Tool are amazing live, and I suppose you can always leave before Metallica come on. ;)
Seriously, I've seen Metallica 4 times now and each time they've been blown off the stage by the support act.
Muttley
-
Up untill this point I have thought you were one of the good guys!!!
Lets just leave 'Tally out of this!!! :D
-
Tool are definitely confirmed now, it's on NME.com.
-
The Download dog told me!!!!
-
I know Tool's music divides opinion, but they are such an awesome band. Has anybody else heard their cover of No Quarter? I've heard they've had inspiration from Meshuggah for their new album.
-
I think Tool are incredible, I really do. People see them as an incredibly complex band, but in many ways they are actually really quite primal, it's all about the drums and the rhythms - even the occasional lead break is more rhythmic than it is about playing a melody. Absolutely awesome band. I too heard that the new album is influenced by Meshuggah, because they toured together. Apparently 3 or 5 new songs have been leaked already but they aren't anywhere to be seen as of yet.
-
I like Tool, butgoing to Download just to see them and Metallica seems such a waste of however much a ticket costs (isnt it like £90?!)
-
I $%ing love tool, god damn i love tool. I havent seen them. I have been listening to them for so long, I CANT BELIEVE I HAVENT SEEN THEM!!!!!!!! Im so excited by this new album but there were a couple of things which really put me off like josh homme and the lead singer being at the recording sessions.
Dont get me wrong i like both of these bands quite alot, but tool is tool, it cannot be tampered with!!!!! I will be interested in the meshuggah influence as im a huge fan.
By the by, anyone bought the Mastodon dvd, i got it yesterday, $%ING AWESOME!!!
-
I've been download ever since it started back in 2003, this will be my 4th time this year.
Every year its been great fun, huge crowd so the atmosphere is great.
Some of the bands have only just been confirmed and many more are to come. Hopefully Lars can make it this year. :P :D
