Just in case anyone though we'd been a bit quiet for a while we have a couple of updates to share with you
First up is a new guitar for one of our regular customers.

Based on our LION Supreme model it has the typical mahogany back and maple cap (some careful chambering as per many of our Lions)
Neck was a 3 piece mahogany affair with an ebony fingerboard - 22 Dunlop 6100 frets and NO INLAYS and our usual all access neck joint

Customer was going a a slightly star look but wanted the body front to supply the bling factor with a large metal flake finish in Gold with a sprinkling of Mirraflake which will sparkle in a rainbow of colours under direct lights (doesn't really show well under studio flash photography)

The pickups are Bare Knuckle Riff Raffs - teamed up to BKP 550k pots in a 50s wiring configuration using Jensen /BKP Paper in Oil Capacitors

very nice, as usual :)

Looks stunning. I like those one more then the red one you posted. Both look great though.
-
Stunning guitar! I really like the blingy look.
-
Another beauty, I always fancied a gold or blue sparkle Tele but that looks stunning.
-
Colour is a bit richer looking from other angles

That's what I call a goldtop.
-
Very sexy. Maybe if i leave the laptop open on this the wife may take the hint!
-
Awesome as ever, but the boldness of the sparkle is maybe a bit too much for me. Just personal taste of course!
-
Beautiful. I bet it would look fantastic under stage lights!
-
that looks fantastic! i want one :)
-
If you like Gretsch-sparkle you have to like this one.
-
The first thing I thought of was Airfix Gold Paint , haven't thought of that for many many years...
Really not sure I'd choose that finish meself - but she is a bit of a looker. I keep scrolling up for another look, there is definitely something about it :)
And no fret markings on an LP type really stands out doesn't it?

Now you mention it, big Gretsch-style inlays would look good I think.

Agreed
Owner collected it an hour ago - think it's gonna be a late night for him - breaking her in
-
I really like it! I'd have it easily!
-
I really like this. It has that Gibson/Gretsch cross over thing happening because of the finish and the lack of LPish inlays. Looks gorgeous.

Wow .... that is beautiful 8)
