Title: Aftermath does Death Metal
Post by: witeter on November 09, 2012, 01:04:22 PM
Hey guys, here is a short clip of the Aftermath riffing on some improvised DM inspired ideas- hope you find it useful, I find it lends itself very well to aggressive playing styles. Cheers!

Just watched your video again. Thanks Witeter, really tight playing and shows the character of the AM. Unfortunately this is not making it easier for me to decide between the AM and the C-Pig xD

Cheers

Cheers guys! i too would like to have a good go on the C-Pig, i think it would come down to the wood in your guitar-bright guitar? maybe try the Cpig; darker or mid voiced guitar try the AM? again these are just my opinions. Where are you based GuitarIv?

The guitar in question is my recently aquired 93' Jackson Fusion Pro, pretty similar woods to your Schecter, Mahogany Body, Maple Neck, Rosewood Fretboard. I'd love to get the AM, however I'm still unsure because of it's dryness, that's why the C-Pig is on my mind. However I need to save money anyway so there's still time left to decide :P

I'm living in Austria :)

Well good luck in your tone quest! i just asked cos in the UK there are a number of suppliers where you could try out some of the pups-remember there is a return policy with bkp so if the AM doesnt fit the bill you cold always replace it :-)

Yeah well that's the downside to BKPs: most times you don't know how they will sound because there aren't lot of Guitars and or Dealers who use them, especially here in Austria I know only one other guy personally who has BKPs, and that's my former guitarist with Alnico Warpigs in a LTD.

However I opened threads here in the forum before I got my first BKP and the Holydiver coupled with Slowhands was suggested: I haven't been dissapointed. So far it has come down to the C-Pig and the Aftermath from other peoples opinions and I'm sure I'll like the PU, no matter which one of the two I'll get. Just unsure if I want the ubertight and dry modern sound of the AM or the more organic huge one the C-Pig provides...
