MY main amp for the Strat is a very peculiar amp. Well I call it "Sweet Hope" and it is a one-off custom design. I designed it and the guy who makes amps for Carl Martin made it.
Basically I was after an 60's Americana sound. A bit hippy/psychedelic/country sounding for sure.
It is basically a FEnder Blackface design but with a few twists; only one 6V6 in A class, 12AY7/ECC81 preamp job, alnico 15" speaker, no NFL a là VOX, passive mid pot.... of course all PTP wired. It has loads of personality.
The thing is that I don't know if the amp likes humbuckers much.
Here are some clips. They are not made with my amp but with a friend's which is very similarly constructed also sporting no NFL whatsoever.

What do you think??

The humbuckers sound a bit dull and choked. The '64 Strat sounds best IMHO.
Those aren't BKP's in that LP, are they?
