Hello all, I come here with an interesting situation. My band usually plays in Bb, i usually use a Carvin HF2 with an alcino warpig in the bridge. Recently we had band practice and I ended up bringing my old in C# schecter hellraiser which has an aftermath in the bridge. I found that the tone itself was significantly improved from what i was used to, with a large boost in chord definition and heavier impact of lower notes.
The thing is schecter is pretty uncomfortable to play, atleast for me. Would the carvin hf2 sound too trebly/twangy/shrill/icepicky/whatever if I were to swap the warpig out for the aftermath that's in the schecter? In the long run I would also change tunings. Carvin has a mahogany body, 5pc maple/mahogany neck, ebony fretboard, and walnut top.
Here's some tracks for reference: http://soundcloud.com/nobody-takes-vegas/sets/nobody-takes-vegas/ Around half of the guitar tracks were recorded with the carvin with a warpig bridge.
Demos to better compare the tones, with similar settings:

I will be swapping them anyway, I just want some others opinions before I get the tools out

I donīt think there will be much differences...Walnut is rich and warm wood and itīs less bright than f.e. maple top...Ebony fretboard could bring out more treble but it coud be even benefit with low tuning that you use...
