Title: Considering buying a Miracle Man
Post by: MBKorn on December 16, 2012, 08:42:18 PM
Hi there

As writen before im considering byuing a Miracle Man for my Jackson SL1 theat a playing through a Peavey 5150.

But how is this PU when im tuning my guitar in B or C?

And can someone tell me how to decribe the sound in a alder body, maple neck-through guitar (is it dark, bright etc?) and is this body made for the MM?

Thanks

I think it sounds even better in lower tunings
as it's a low mid focused pickup, it tends to sound fatter and fuller when you tune down to its best working range

I too am considering a Miracle Man, but now more undecided than ever! When I talked to a rep at BKP they said the MM delivers massive tone, and I've heard excellent things about it and excellent things about the Aftermath and Painkiller, so there's my dilemma. MM or Aftermath or Painkiller?? I'm playing a 7 String Ibanez ARZ 307 which is mahogany, the factory EMG is not very good...... just plain weak.... its a passive EMG.... its just yuck - I also use lower tunings with a high gain head - Egnator Armageddon - I'm about to click "buy" on the MM, but is it really the best choice? The closest bands I can compare our style/sound to would be Sevendust meets Killswitch meets Ramstein meets Godsmack. I want hot gain, really want that bottom end clear and punchy and full.
So MM or?????

the AM and PK are killer pickups, but have a sharp midrangy tone with lots of edge
not really a full low end like the MM

Woohoo... more future Miracle Man enthusiasts.

It is my favorite ceramic pickup.

I definitely think Miracle Man for drop C# Rammstein-like tones. Good choice!! It will blow that passive EMG away.

I'm new to the forum, I am seriously considering these pickups for my Gibson Les Paul Studio with Ebony fretboard I play my guitar right through a Mesa Boogie Roadster 4x 12 v30, use low drop tunings, and I'm between man and nailbom miracle, I that what is heard in the forum, is an excellent pickups, you only fear I have the treble to be very high and the clean tones with a lot of mud, but I must admit that sounds that I like the miracle man.
A lot of people say they are very organic and very round, maybe someone here can use that miracle man and his experience.
