Anyone got any experience of this pedal? opinions greatly appreciated :)

I believe Juansolo has some experience with it. I also imagine he will be along shortly

i had one for a while. i bought it after watching some you tube clips. but on receiving the pedal i didn't find it sounding much like the demos. i found it to be a bit fizzy and raspy rather than a nice smooth overdrive. its very high gain too. when i used it live i set the gain to almost nothing and it was still too much.
that said though its built like a tank, the boost feature is really useful and having two drive settings makes it a very versatile pedal if you like the real high gain stuff.
so i would say its worth trying one out because if it is your thing then its a good buy.
not my cuppa though!

I have only tried it for a brief time in a music shop, but it sounded really good too me. Defenitely had that plexi tone going on (although I've never owned a plexi :?)

It's a good pedal, but not exquisit.

I've tried it once, and like bandmaster says I found it very high gainy. I think there are better options.

Another thing to consider is the amp you're using it with. Some drive pedals sound better with certain amps. I was using mine through a 70's fender bandmaster which although I wouldn't say is overly bright, it's certainly got some fender spank going on. So pedal and amp may not have been the best partnership.
So always best to try pedals with you're own amp or similar if possible.

Good distortion, I really like it. If a little over featured. I expect the 3 knob version is more than enough. The problem with distortions is what they like amp-wise to do their thing. Some like clean amps, some want your amp with a little break up dialled in. They're the hardest thing to recommend to people because of it as it all comes down to taste and kit.

This about mirrors my experience with the pedal. Bottom line : it's a good distortion, but it doesn't sound even close to a Plexi.

Is a good pedal, I'd have said plexi ish, if you want 2 different sounds keep the 3 button set up (but to be fair like Juan said the 3 knob one prabably be fine) I'm having the boost on mine changed to a better boost and impotantly to me so I can use indepedant of the drive. It loves all my amps but didn't like one of Juansolo's

Thanks for the replies chaps. Now starts the long haul of trying out different stuff.
