in a while i'm selling a guitar I have to get maybe another PRS, I already know i'm getting a cold sweat in the neck and i'm looking for a bridge pickup that can do metal like this (or hopefully have similar characteristics)

c-pig, of course
and some sort of solid state distortion

From what I've heard, the amp used on that record was a 6505, I use a GSP1101 for everything through a tube amp and can tweak to get close to certain tones, yet I feel I need a tighter/bigger pickup then a holy diver lol...
I was thinking of getting a Mikael Akerfeldt SE, yes I know I have weird taste in guitars for brutal metalhead, I find them comfortable and I like "pretty" guitars...
I was thinking the obvious choice would be an aftermath (at least in the bridge) as I'm not sure how tight a C-Pig can actually get, and if it can handle other styles of music, when i'm "writing" I mostly play slam death type stuff but throw in melodeath catchy riffs and use open chords and I like to write ambient clean stuff too.
The guitar should be pretty bright since it has an ebony board and a maple neck/top.

Here's another good example of the type of music I play, when speaking about the death metal with opeth like influence

they use some sort of preamp, but I don't know which
that could be a tube amp, but there's definitely some sort of harsh diode distortion going on

It has that 6505 mid grind, at least to my ears.
Any experience with an aftermath in that type of guitar?
