So, I’ve got a BKP Aftermath bridge humbucker and a Slow Hand strat single coil that I intentionally was going to use in a Fender Kurt Cobain Mustang.
I decided to sell the Mustang in order to start a build project from scratch, and have more or less decided to go for a simplified Jazzmaster from Warmoth for the body.
In theory the wiring would be similar to the one found in the Fender Jazzmaster Blacktop HS - with one volume control, one tone control and a 3-way toggle switch - but I can’t seem to find a wiring diagram for the model.
Generally, there are very few H-S specific schematics floating about, and BKP doesn’t offer one as far as I can see.
Does anyone know, or would like to guess, how the Blacktop HS was put together?
Should I be worried about using a BKP 550k pot for the single coil? Its intended use is mostly for punk style music, so I don’t mind a trebly sound, but i dont’t want it to sound to harsh either.
