It does play extremely well. There are a couple of things I might change though.
The volume pot is pretty tense. Rolling off quicky is a bit hard. The tone pot feels like it is the wrong taper (kind of on/off feeling and less of a sweep). Other than that is sounds nice. I picked it up on my way to work and haven't had chance to run it through my amp yet. The trem work really well, although I'm sure the zero fret defeats the object of the teflon nut somewhat... I have to say though, it's flippin' good.

Nice, and I like the fact that they're made in Europe!  A bit of a change from USA or Asia.

What's the neck like?

I'd say its as wide as my CE22's wide fat profile but not as deep. The edges are nice. It's not too thin or narrow. It's really comfortable. I wouldn't mind it being a little fatter but their isn't much to complain about. I don't think it has the totally flat radius on this model. Not having a truss rod is a cool idea I like. Has 9's on right now and it feels great. Normally I find 9's weird. I always use 10's whatever scale length.

Very nice! I love the way Vigier guitars play.

awesome :D

I still kick myself that missed the HSH floydy one for £700 (IIRC) when oxford guitar gallery had that massive sale just before they shut... really liked the ones i've tried.

That's a really nice colour combo etc. too, by the way. obviously they're all nice guitars, but having it in a nice colour is kinda the icing on the cake.

Beautiful looking guitar - I once played one in Chappells in London (of all places) and it was very nice indeed even though I didn't care for the floyd or the colour scheme. Your is scrumptious

That is where i got this one. Half price as it was the 'display' model. which is a weird concept for me to associate with a guitar.

oh wow that sounds like a killer deal. How much (if you don't mind my asking... if you do, no worries :) )?

just shy of 1K. which i thought was a damn good deal for an essentially new axe. just had old strings on it.

thanks :) that's a pretty good deal. As i said, the OGG had one for £800 (IIRC) a couple of years back, but it wasn't as nice as yours.

I actually went looking and I think it's still on the chappell's site, unless they had more than one of them?

yeah i noticed it didn't come off the site. Bit weird. Maybe they do have more.
I did find another... same model and finish exactly, but it was over £2K and i had no way of testing it out beforehand without a massive train ride. Finding that one in london was a bit freaky.

I'm defo happy with it. The trem works amazingly and it feels more like a floyd under my hand than my PRS trem, although both are super stable. You can just get away with doing more floyd style tricks on this. I also like the idea of the neck having a carbon strip instead of a truss rod. Hopefully it'll only ever need minor maintenance.

^ thanks :) I don't think i ever got to mess with the trem much as most shops take the bars off the guitars, but that'd be awesome if it reacts more like a floyd. But i did like the guitars a lot. I'll have a think about it for a day or two, anyway. I mean odds are they're out of them anyway and they just haven't updated their site, so I'll not get too excited.

You got a killer deal there :D :drink:
