Thanks Ian :D
I can't do it for laughing Ian. I'm such a silly git most of the time I can't do it seriously
I have a friend who is a pro singer who has agreed to do it for me. She's on a tour in Europe right now but she says she'll be able to do it in May. That gives me time to learn a bit more about recording vocals. I've bought a Mic shield and pop screen. I'll get some acoustic foam for the walls too. I've nearly got the money together for a decent mic now. I was thinking of tracking her 3 times in harmony.

I heard the track the other day Johnny and the tone is indeed great. There is something special about a Tele tone in my opinion.

Thanks Steve :-) Yes it is a nice tone. I could of got a better tone out of my Strat if I had set up the signal path better I think.
I used an Apple silver face Fender amp simulator in Logic 9. I did try just using a compressor and direct in to the DAW but it just didn't sound right. I used the compressor in the Motu Audio Interface.

For sure, I love the tone!
It sounds really good for an amp simulator. I don't know why they still surprise me from time to time, but they often work very well in a mix.
Did you play the bass as well?

Thanks. I had the amp sim in Logic 9. A fender silver face thing. No I didn't play the bass. It was a friend of mine. Its a Fender Jazz in to a Genz Benz amp head and into a Motu 828mkIII
