Title: Mules in a 59' Les Paul Reissue (Newbie sayin HELLO!)

Hey guys and gals. New guy here saying whats up. Been GASing for a set of the Mules for a very long time and I have to say I'm quite pleased. Really good bite. Really good solo sounds. Articulations pretty dang good. Mids are killer and not too harsh. Lows very tight.

So who else has got a set of Mules in their Les Paul or Historic Reissues?

I still havent found the exact sweet spot as far as heigth pickup adjustment but I will today since I have time. Right now I got them about standard and pretty close to the strings and was gonna take them down a little. Playing with the heigths on these BKP's really makes a difference in tone more than most pickups.

Mine are in an Epiphone Elite Les Paul Standard. They were made in Japan with Gibson woods, parts, etc. to basically '59 specs. The only real difference is instead of a nitro finish it's a very thin hand applied poly coat. It's also not weight relieved.  It has been upgraded to CTS pots with Luxe repro Bees and '50s wiring. I like to set them to be even with the center of the pickup rings.I think tha tgive's me enough bite but just the right amount of sparkle when I roll off the volume.

Mine are in a Bacchus Les Paul Goldtop. Neck is savage.

On the height thing, i lowered the black Dog in my Tokai LP Standard and it made all the difference. More balanced sound now after i thought about putting the Black Dog down. :P

Mule neck in my PRS SC245, best sounding neck pickup I've heard.  Might not suit for the heaviest of heavys but for what I do sounds great for me

Mule-set in a an all mahogany bolt-on Saint Blues Mississipp Bluesmaster. Awesome pickups, great articulation, open, sweet, deep, yet with a lovely crispiness. Tight enough for the music I play.

I usually like the low output bridge models as close as I can get before notes start losing depth and the low E starts farting
lowering them too much might sacrifice too much bass and mids

I haven't tried the Mules yet, but I really want to get a new LP and slide in a set of mules. The neck sounds killer in the BKP soundclip.

Yeah, that combi I would like to have too. I keep on saving.  :)
