Title: Hugh Manson - M One D One guitar
Post by: tewboss on March 02, 2006, 12:53:39 AM
its reviewed in Guitarist this month. it looks very nice and has a Nailbomb in the bridge position. the front has a cracked glass finished which looks really cool.

The origin of "M One D One" is an in-joke in their shop.

Don't know anything about the guitar, but the "M1/D1" or "M1/V1" or "M1/B1" abbreviation has been forever, if that's what they're refering to.

It's short for "Mod 1/ Design 1", " - Version 1", or " - Build 1" respectively.

Apparently somebody came in the shop and asked for an "M One D One" cable i.e. a MIDI cable.

:D Some mates of mine in the 80`s had custom builds from manson. They played really well but both were fitted with SD invaders, what a dreadfull noise !

I think I read somewhere that that was a guitar that Matt Bellamy rejected? I don't know, things can get quickly confused on the internet!

the design is slightly different to Matt's guitars from what Hugh said in the article - i think its to do with the shoulder of the guitar.
