New FEAR Day  :(

So, yeah, few weeks ago we came home from an evening at the cinema. Just as I went under our awning to unlock the front door, my Mrs pulls me back by the jacket and grabs my arm, pointing upwards.

In the dark it was just a swinging blob of black against the shadows...

Managed to get a picture tonight... it's a False Widow, apparently, and I do not care for it, sirs. No. Not one bit.  :?

Leg span is approximately 55 - 60mm, but I'm not going to get a step ladder out and ask it to hold still whilst I measure.

I couldn't sleep with that thing hanging around. A sawn-off shotgun should do the job.

impressive.  i know they shouldn't, but spiders do freak me out a bit.  i still lift them in a glass and put them outside though, although in recent years i have needed increasingly bigger glasses!
