Title: My Wolfgang w/Seymour's
Post by: JamesHealey on March 02, 2006, 06:58:27 PM
My Wolfgang just came back off loan I lent it to a friend whilst he did a european tour as a backup guitar to his Kramer Barreta, Now I always remember this guitar having a lot of sustain and is a great player but I must admit the tone sounds so lifeless compared to my BKP loaded guitars now, it's so flat, unresponsive and dead I mean it's a nice guitar but christ Im shocked! think this puppy needs some BKP's dropping into it.

now i've already got the VHII's in my strat (my strat sounds more van halen than the wolfgang lol?) so im thinking a set of Warpigs as i've been craving that face melting gain monster for some time. yum yum yum.

I think this was more observational than asking for advice.

but surely someone as experienced as 'ben' (it is ben right?) in the realm of BKP's wouldnt need any recommendations master dave?

Wolfgang+Warpigs will be a face melter....what do you want to play using this guitar??  Warpigs are great for saturated gain, especially if you like to chug.

I'd look at a Nailbomb or Miracle Man set for a bit more versatility., but still with lots of gain!

VHII's & Irish Tour in my strat for all my rock/blues/shred/metal/jazz.. it does it all unbelievably versitile.

The Wolfgang is going to become the main guitar for my metal band, which the warpig will be just fine in :)

and yes this was simply an observation/apreciation thread :P

No way, dude - I ask for advice all the time! No matter what level you're at, there's someone with more first-hand experience! The key is to tap into a source that knows where you're coming from ... then you will rarely be steered too far wrong.

It all depends on the body timber of your Wolfgang but yes, the Warpigs will turn it into a hi gain monster.......tighter bass response is the Miracle Man as everyone else has already pointed out.........and for touch of bright vintage hotness the Cold Sweat shouldn't be over looked either.
