Ive bought one one theses guitars and I'm looking to swap the pickup out, obviously I'm looking at BKP but I'm not sure which ones to get.
the body is Basswood with a maple neck Thur, I use a peavey 6505 and a tubscreamer in the front for leads. I like the midrange on my amp so wouldn't need a pickup to be too exaggerated in that area.
I play mainly Killswitch, Devildriver style stuff and record allot in my studio.
the pickups need to have a good tight bass response and good smooth highs that sound more fluid than harsh. I need good string definition for complex chords.
what would you guys suggest.
I'm mainly looking for a bridge pickup but would say that if the neck pickup had fluid highs and the bridge had bite then i could work with that
cheers

Miracle for more modern/tighter, Holy Diver for smoother/more organic.

I think Holy Diver-bridge/Cold Sweat-neck.

miracle man
but the holy diver sounds great with a ts9 in front of a 6505 as well

Ive been listening to the sound clips on here and my favorite sound is the nailbomb ceramic how do you think that will sound in my guitar

I would have said Miracle Man or Cold Sweat for the bridge. No experience with the Ceramic Nailbomb but that should work well, too.
Cheers Stephan

Miracle Man or a similar pickup with a strong treble response and tight bass (cold sweat, RiffRaff).
Are you sure it has a basswood body? I thought they used mahogany on them.

The cheaper model is basswood
