Can anyone comment on this?
I know it maybe hot. Can I use a resistor to match the resistance of the stock Cold Sweat Neck?
Bridge DC: 13.7KΩ *
Neck DC: 8.3KΩ *
Maybe add a 5k resistor in series?
I have a Bill Lawrence l500xl in the bridge right now running at 11.2k.
Thanks!

It's not just about the DC resistance, it's a completely different pickup with a different magnet (ceramic in the bridge, alnico V in the neck) and possibly also a different gauge of wire.
By all means try it in the neck position, but I can't see any benefit in adding the resistor, you won't "transform" it into a Cold Sweat neck pickup.
That said, I have no idea what effect the resistor would have. :?
(Welcome to the forum, by the way! :D )

Thanks for the reply and the welcome! I guess we'll never know until I try it. I have an amp project I am trying to get through. I might just have to give it a go. I really don't think my Warpig would sound good there. That is just a hunch though.

Maybe you could rig a switch to take the resistor in and out of the circuit - then you'll really be able to tell what effect it's having!

mmm, yes. A SPST would be easy to set up! Good idea. Thanks!
