Title: Classical Interlude
Post by: TwilightOdyssey on March 03, 2006, 03:55:08 AM
This is the rough skeleton for an interlude I'm in the process of scoring.
The idea behind it is the number 12. All the notes and measures are groups of 12, and it takes place over 12 bell strikes. It's going to be an interlude section leading to a guitar solo.

I still have more elements to add, but I think the rough version shows you the direction it's going in.

niiiice thats excellent...

how did you make that? im guessing some computer program...? could be wrong..

the bell sounds a bit weird though, i would say it needs to be a tad more dramatic, more like a gong or something...

hmmm, my guess is the string section's kitted out with Mules, maybe Crawlers, but the bell sounds more modern... Nailbombs?

LOL, you're both right!

Blue - the strings used a VHII, tho, not a Mule. PDT_008

sambo - I write it out as actual music in Cubase's Score Editor and used orchestral samples.

I do have a complete guitar synth and virtual guitar rig, but I try not to do orchestral stuff that way, otherwise it sounds like a guitar playing string parts. This was written the old fashioned way -- using actual notes on musical staves, depending on the instrument.

If you already have a PC, the software and samples don't cost much; just in time to learn how to use em.
