EDIT: damn! just read the other option... i wanna change my answer.... let me change my answer.... please?

I agree haha
-
In my endevours to show proper respect to bareknuckle forums and staying on topic I have had to swear off posting in any topic which Sambo has posted in.
Unfortunitely it seems that he posts in every thread, so it may be some time before anybody hears from me :(

Then again if it involved in losing weight, not turning ginger, and not doing dodgy adverts for epiphone SGs there could be worse things (surely I know better than to type this).
Rob...

i was actually going to start this thread if you hadn't, indy!
total number of posts in the dressing room = 100 (approx)
number of posts in here by sambo = about 90.
Note: these figures are made up, and hence may not be accurate. Their main purpose is to take the piss out of sambo. Still, the sentiments behind them are reasonably accurate.
-
someone other than indy was gonna start this? oh dear... is it really that bad...?
-
^nah, i'm only taking the piss, to be honest.

how old are you kids then rob.?
and indy.... meh.... who needs culture...especially if two characters who sound like farmers from yorkshire are a big part of it..
-
I didn't know if the board could cope with so many nested quotes without some sort of recursion error being generated.
Bill & Ted they're from Cornwall not Yorkshire, Ohh Arrr Wyld Stallyons
Or possibly not
As for the Kids theyre 13 (Emily) and 11 (William)
To be honest I wanted three kids so when peoiple said What have you got, I could answer Oh one of each
Emily is named (partially) after the floyd song, and has turned out to be quite appropiate.

I am sorry to say i have never had the pleasure of that song gracing my ear-drums. Why is it that it is appropriate for the name of your daughter?
Oh harharhar, that comment you made about the 'one of each' really does make you quite the comedian master robert.

Jeez, you need a severe musical education.
I was originally going to say that the track ofcourse was Murderistic Women (which later got renamed to careful With that Axe Eugine or some completely unrelated track)
See Emily Play is basically (along with Arnold Layne) probably the two classic psych singles from the 60s.
The appropiate lyric is "Emily tries but misunderstands"
Plus I just like the name.
Rob...
-
lol ok it all makes sense now.
you say i should know these things then you say its from the 60's- what do you expect!!!
-
Bill and Ted as in "Excellent! *air guitars*", or something else.. if you havent seen Bill and Teds excellent adventure, you really should. I wanna see the other one aswell, Bogus Adventure or something.
-
Sambo must hold the record for the most number of posts in the shortest time. Never dull and I find myself smiling at many a Sambo/Indy exchange with a comment from Tom to keep things (sur)real.
-

You don't know the famous 60 cartoon strip, Bill & Ted the two gentlemen farmers from Cornwall who loved their quadraped ruminants a little too much ?
NExt thing your going to tell me you never heard of Ebilis Prescott (Elvis Presleys transvestite half brother) !
As for the 60s I was 7 when they ended and was exposed to nothing other than Gentleman Jim Reeves and Acker Bilk until 1980.
Rob...
-
oh THATS who bill and ted are?! why didnt somebody say!?!?!?!?!!!!! of course i know the "excelllllentt" and "bogusss" wasnt it? yer i know them guys... :D
-
Blackmail Blackmail Iv'e got somebody to blackmail !
Muhahahahah !!!!!!!11
-
  oh god no.... what have i done..
-
it was 'exellent adventure' and the other one was 'bogus journey'.
if i remember correctly 'bodatious' was one of their words, lol. classy/cheesey films those.
-
on a slightly different subject, sambo have you noticed how many posts you've put on this sight in a short amount of time? daft hundred and silly or something like that, i don't know exactly how many.
you crazy man
-
yer i know lol... my mates were shocked when i showed them that lol.... (as was i when i discovered it).... i think my averae is like 12 posts a day or something..... sad... very sad.... if you look through the first few pages of people in the memberlist in descending order of total potst, everyone joined 2005 some time, then theres this anomaly- me - who joined in 2006. i reckon its partly cause im a crazy fool and partly because i have to ask about EVERYTHING cause im so young and still learning.
-
i know what you mean abou the learning thing, i'm only 17 so i don't know very much either.i have to try really hard to stop myself asking questions that sound really stupid to most of the forum members......it hasn't worked so far, i've asked some pretty dumb stuff.
-
I have not laughed and cryed (with lafter) so much since I heard Mick Jagger was getting a Knighthood.
TY Rob and Sambo, ya made my day if not my week.
Every forum needs a "Court Jester" huh lololololololol
-

Sambo follow the link to the Echos album site
From there you can listen to See Emily Play & Arnold Layne
Rob...
-
ok rob will do.
lol yer nick, your right, it wouldnt be the same without a couple of resident comedians!
and monkeywalker i know exactly what you mean about asking stupid questions and the like.... i think you must have a bit more self-control than me cause i can never stop myself asking lol
-
Alex (toomuchhiphop) said the word "nunja".. this inspired me to put my photoshop "skills" into action. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you:
This has nothing to do with the thread but I had nowhere else to put it and I felt I must share it, plus sambo might like it
-
i have to say.... i love the setting.... i mean... a pile of rocks up the side of a house.... - beautiful.... not sure about the worryingly small size of the nunja's head though....
-
hahaha I know, I'm not a photoshop expert so I couldnt enlarge it without it looking cr@p, the first version was even smaller!
-
well done for trying at least lol....
just to been to a gig- was (expletive)ing excellent!!!! moshing was class..... im so hyped up.... i need to break something.... we need a singe soooooo much so we can start gigging.... anyone here a singer?
-
You know Tom, I wouldn't have known that it was a mock up if you hadn't have said it.
Singer saSambo- I have to sing in my band but I am an elderley gent compared to you chappies but thanks for the offer.
-
ahhhhhh damn!.... you know im getting to the point of desperation where i wouldnt care HOW old the singer was.... AS LONG AS HE COULD SING!!
AHDGAGHAGDHWGLEWFBEUJF....
-
we need a singer in our band to. i've always been the singer but my voice always breaks up when it comes to high notes which really restricts what we play. the annoying thing is, i know the other guitarist can sing soooo much better than me but refuses to do it.
and while i'm on the subject i think i'm the only one who has any motivation in my band, the drummer and other guitarist hardly speek even though we are actually all best mates, and the bassist has turned into a jazz freak. insted of playing an actual bass line he's like 'lets all play something different at the same time it will sound cool' i'm sorry but no it f#'*&ing won't. and they all make me feel like an idiot for really getting into a song and enjoying it.
ahem! sorry got carried away there
-

haha the outlines of the hand and the nuns head are so obvious, maybe your old mans eyes cant see them though  Just kidding.
-
ohhhh who dare cuss the almighty beatle!!!!
yer monkey i hate bandmates sometimes... like i make basically ALL the songs in our band then i stop for one second in a band practice and dont contribute for about a minute and the lead guitarist (who hasnt been doing anything) suddenly goes... "come on help me! your not doing anything!!!" i always feel like punching him.... HARRDDD
-
i write all the songs in my band with one exception to date and when i show them to the other band members they give it one shot and then can't be bothered.if i even put anything interesting like a time signature change or sincapation in the song they can't be bothered dealing with it and just give up.
a lack of commitment me thinks.
however, i'v just come back from a band practice and it was actually really good, we sorta linked all the songs in to one but in a non boring non cheesey way, somehow using alot of contrilled feedback and clever changings of key we linked about 6 songs together, with lots of improvisation, it was cool!!
most fun iv'e had at practice for ages. :D
-
ahhh excellent im gonna try that at practice tomorrow!!! :D
