I have not won the lottery, it is not an LP 'burst.
It's not even an LP Junior (those are too pricey for me these days).
Instead what I've just ended up with is an ES-125, the bottom of the line, P-90 equipped, semi that Gibson produced from 1941 to the 70s. I found this one in a shop while on holiday, tried it, fell in love and, well, here we are.
It's a lovely guitar, all original apart from the knobs. The neck is chunky but very comfortable and, though the frets have a lot of wear, there's still a few more years in them. The tone is very relaxed blues and gently into earthy jazz territory plugged in, which is what I wanted as it's something I've never had before. Acoustically it's not loud but has a pleasing bluesy woody sound that will suit me for late night, not waking anyone, noodling. This was a bit of an impulse buy so I hope the magic lasts but thus far I'm really liking it. Also 1958 was quite a decent year for Gibson from what I hear.

Now should I put an EMG 85 in it...? Kahler perhaps?
