Title: Bare Knuckles Blues Band
Post by: Keven on May 17, 2013, 01:46:32 AM
!

i haven't seen anything posted here about this yet, so i'm going to share this moment with you guys!

if you haven't been following, Tim and co have a blues band that seems to be rocking about in the UK. i took some time to listen to the 4 recorded tracks... and first, what a tone, and then, the overall vibe and everything is cool. awesome tone and playing and the rest of band really shines through.

though really it's some nice guitar blues. with BKP's. Tim on guitar. it's worth a listen!

best used with wine and loud speakers for maximum impact.

A word of warning - turn those speakers loud after you start playing the tracks!

It was bloody ear-splitting (at least compared with the volume level on my PC's media player)

Good stuff though.

I saw the BK Blues Band at the Birmingham Guitar Show earlier this year and they were pretty awesome live. I meant to do a thread about it but completely forgot to

I only saw part of the gig as the bloke I was at the show with wanted to go and get food etc, and the only songs I remember actually hearing were Kashmir by Led Zeppelin and something by Joe Bonamassa. There were a few more but I'm struggling to recall.

Tim was using his favourite 59' (may've been 58') LP Clone with a Riff Raff in the bridge and a Mule in the neck straight into a Marshall YJM Malmsteen Plexi and it sounded immense.

I'm going to give these tracks a listen over the weekend.

Great band and that Tim guy can play a bit can't he ?  But - Kashmir, Radar Love - blues ? Ever hear the Blind Lemon Jefferson versions ?

Yeah, I think the term "Blues" is stretched a bit!

More Blues-Rock if we're splitting hairs

Still bluesier than either the Ozzy and Iced Earth stuff I've heard Tim play in the past

I love Blues and Blues Rock so I thought it was awesome. If they ever came to the Lincolnshire area I'd certainly go to see them and buy a CD. Excellent music.

Tim is a monster player, as good as anyone out there, and often better.

I was also surprised not to have seen a thread after listening to the 4 tracks a week or so ago.
Kudos to the BKBB, great job. I've never got bored with radar love, it was the first record i ever bought when it was released.
