Chorus day it is, one of these: http://www.mpamp.com/pedal/pedals-ebc.htm (http://www.mpamp.com/pedal/pedals-ebc.htm)
First of all, I don’t like that cheesy chorus that you hear on certain songs, especially on 80s songs. It has always sounded cheap and tone robbing to me. This pedal sounds so musical and doesn’t put that metallic ruining edge on your tone.
I bought one of these a few weeks back, and it’s lovely. Very versatile too; you can simulate an univibe and rotating speaker tone too It works great on both clean and distorted tone, and can go from subtle to strong. With the knobs at noon, it’s a very subtle chorus, that just adds a bit of..character, thickness to your tone. The kinda that’s very tempting to leave always on :)
The pedal is true bypass, as are all the pedals on my pedalboard before the preamp, except for the MI Audio Boost n’ buff that’s first on the chain.
This is the demo that actually sold the pedal to me: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtPK6yBbAAQ (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KtPK6yBbAAQ)

Nice purchase! MP don't come cheap, so they should sound above average. I like most pedals in the range, especiallt the Deep Blue delay.

They have both PCB and hand wired models; this is a PCB one. I also have a second hand, hand wired Little Green Wonder (overdrive) from them. I paid almost the same amount of money for than this one :D
I also love that pedal; Uncompressed, but makes your tone bigger and always sounds musical. It's the pedal I usually use to boost my tone for leads.

Nice, gotta get me a good chorus too. Congrats on that one!
Just watch that you don´t become like Zakk Wylde...*shudder*

good choice! I own the MP tremolo and they are flawless pedals, it's still the best tremolo I've heard. I didn't know they also made a chorus

Heh, Telerocker :D I love what Wylde has produced, but not his most recent doings. What he did with Ozzy on Ozzmosis, No Rest for the Wicked and No More Tears, was and is superb. Great and memorable playing. Hell, his Black Label Society work has golden moments too; Blessed Hellride is a kick-ass record. But he's not my inspiration for chorus/vibe tones ;)
With certain settings and a distorted tone, it gave an impression of a distorted Hammond organ!
JJ, they really are great pedals. Like I said, musical. There's not really a bad setting, they've really spent time designing them. Funnily enough, Tremolo is the one effect I really would like to add to my board. And most certainly will :) I use effects pretty sparingly, to add a flavour to parts where I feel it serves a purpose. Most of the time my tone is guitar and amp, with the delay in the loop (that's always on).

That does sound impressive. From what you say I think we have similar views on chorus. I don't use it as an effect a lot but maybe if I had one of these beauties I might. I have a Visual Sound H20 which I though was pretty reasonable ( and I got it very cheaply) providing you use the more subtle settings. This one sounds fantastic however.

Yeah, it does a lot more than what I've typically expected when I see a chorus pedal. I really love the rotating speaker -thingy it does!
