Title: White Wire bird Pickup covers.
Post by: Jackskylight on May 29, 2013, 01:47:49 PM
Hi guys, can anybody enlighten me on the wire bird Contour iv? They have a white pick up cover on the neck position, I was wondering whether this is available as a standard cover option from BKP?

here's a picture.

Thanks!

never seen something like this
maybe they fit a plastic cover later on a regular open coil pup?

I wonder how they fixate the legs on the pickups
the neck pup might be direct mounted under the pickguard... but the bridge one?

It's definitely not a BKP cover - or if it is, it's not an option in the BKP shop.

Some Schaller pickups used to be available with plastic covers like that, in black and (I think) cream, I don't know about white.

I have to be honest, the guitars look cool but I don't like the white cover.  I suppose the idea is that it looks like an Esquire from a distance.

I was talking to Sam this morning - if I'd known I would have asked him (he used to work for me - excellent chap)
