Hey Guys
I know that the single coils do not cancel hum, but it is not that bad. I am after more tonal variations.
1. Is there a lot of difference in sound in between a parallel or single coil/tap of a cold sweat neck?
would there be more tonal difference in between { Neck (series) and Bridge (series } connected in parallel OR single coils from each connected in series ?
Thanks for your input

The single coil mode should be brighter due to the fact that in parallel mode, frequencies get cancelled by two coils sensing the string movement - whereever one coil sees a wave top and the other sees a wave bottom the respective frequency gets cancelled.

The first is the standard combination setting on dual humbucker guitars. The second is used in #3 of the PRS rotary. Both are very different from each other but comparable in output.
