This looks like a rather awesome pedal. Anyone try one?

I'm not very clued-up about pedals, as you know, but I remember a couple of months ago Juansolo was selling a Neunaber Technology "Wet" Reverb pedal.
I actually listened to some clips (again, unusual for me!) and thought it sounded amazing. Plus it has really simple controls, which can only be a good thing.
No idea how it would compare with the Hall of Fame, though.

HOF is definitely a nice sounding verb, i prefer it to the latest malekko offering. If my head didn't have verb built-in it would be between the HOF and the holy grail for me

Indeed and now I have the Stereo version and it's equally brilliant. The ability to re-flash it as a chorus or delay is quite funky also (can only do this with the stereo ones).

Want a Hall of Fame myself, Fantastic sounding and loop friendly. I reckon best pedal verb for the money.

I got a HOF and I'm pretty satisfied with it. It's super hard to beat when it comes to price and it offers a lot of varaity. It has the Toneprint option and with the new Toneprint editor there's limitles possibillities. I must admit that I only use a few of the reverb types (spring, plate, church and toneprint). I don't have much experience with reverbs and reverb pedals, but I think there's better sounding pedals than the HOF, but they're also a lot more expensive and less versatile. As an example I think that Strymon's spring reverb sounds better than the HOF's.
If you're not totally picky about reverbs and want a good sounding, versatile, relatively cheap and reliable pedal look no further than the HOF.

I have one. Its awesome.
-
love mine, does what it says on the tin. i pretty much leave mine on the church setting, lovely.
-
I'd choose the Digitech Hardwire Reverb over it, but it is probably a nice pedal.
Gary Moore used the Hardwire Reverb.
-
HOF kicks ass. thats all i have to add. 8)

Thanks guys,
I was looking at the Hall of Fame, and the Digitech Hardwire indeed.
I like the HoF is dry pass through (low latency), and you can use a software editor to edit the "toneprint", its also nice and small.
A few people have recommended me the Hardwire in the past.. I guess it sounds great, with its Lexicon algorithms.
I hadn't considered the Neunaber/Juansolo pedal, I will try to search some more info on it.
To be honest the Digitech and the HoF both sound good on youtube clips. I will need to find a higher quality source to be sure. What really matters though, is how it sounds in a band mix.
-
You can't go wrong with the TC.
-
I have a HoF and a Neunaber Wet mono version. The HoF is a great pedal at a great price and extremely versatile, the Wet is more natural sounding.... more like a tube verb built into an amp. There are some cool YT vids of th Wet.

I did a bit of comparing of reverb pedals recently and opted for the Digitech RV7........................another option for you. I'm really pleased with it, Battery is easy to load which as I'm on my second this week is handy. Dunno why it seem to be going through so many batteries. I generally play with minimal reverb on all the time to fill out the sound a bit. I am kinda new to all this. I especially like the way the spring reverb makes hammer on/off's stand out.
Just another option for you. Cant remember why I dismissed the HOF in the end.

Most digital effects eat batteries and the Hardwire series is especially "bad" at that; they do something that they describe as "high voltage" (lol!) operation, which probably eats more juice, but also increase headroom.

I managed to snag one on ebay. It was surprisingly beat-up for what must be a fairly new pedal, but then again that was reflected in the price.
I must say I'm pretty impressed so far. I do think it could sound a little better, I wouldn't say its quite the level of a rack mount. But I am being harsh - it surely is good sounding and no one will hear any problems live in a band mix.
If it were just about the sounds that came with the pedal as stock, I would probably move this one on and try a Digitech Hardwire. However I must say the "toneprint" feature adds alot and, also considering the pedal's small size, I will not be moving the Hall of Fame on.
At first I thought the toneprint thing would be a marketing gimmick, but some of the sounds that can be downloaded from the TC Electronic website are really awesome. Depending on the artist, quite a bit of effort seems to have gone in. I especially like the Steve Morse presets, hes obviously really thought about them. You can also download sounds to the pedal via an iPhone and the guitar pickups, which is still jaw dropping to me, even though its basically using modem/fax technology.
I also tried their editor to make your own sounds - thats good as well, but theres no actual save feature which is unfortunate and severely limits its usefulness. Perhaps they will add it later. Using this editor, I managed to turn the pedal into a jet flanger for example, so the editor could be a powerful bonus in later versions of it.

I am now feeling very very old indeed.

Glad you are liking it. Missed when you first posted; I also have one and I love it.
The tone print concept is such a clever idea. It basically means you are set for a reverb pedal, ever. Now with the Toneprint editor you can basically create any type of reverb you could possibly need.

they are not quite giving you the keys to the car yet. in my opinion i would say the toneprint editor is still at the gimmick stage. once you really get into it i found things began to fall apart - they don't give you access to all the parameters. hopefully though they will develop that side of things further.
i fully agree the toneprint concept is very cool. they could, for example, eventually sell a pedal which has the possibility to have more than one toneprint inside it - maybe even only toneprints, in that small form factor. you could download your sounds to it in between songs with your smartphone.

even though i did it about 20 times last night I still scarcely believe it myself!

Alright, I thought they let you do more. I just tried it fast with my Flashback and was quite impressed though with the delay possibilities.
But for the HoF I found a toneprint I really liked, and havn't had a reason to change anything. But the worst thing is that I forgot which tone print it is, so I really don't want to change anything :D

I don't think it would work with my mobile phone....

Nice one!
Never had the soapbar, but a few friends had them.
I'm amazed that it stills keeps going, I wish I could make my phones last that long :D

That reminds me...

Those thing are so awesome!

I am a fan of the HOF, works really well in the series loop of my Cornford MK50II.
Currently I am using the Paul Gilbert - Toneprint.

Yeah thats a good one :) I'm using the stock "Plate" and also the Steve Morse "Beautiful Reverb" Toneprint. Try that one if you didn't already - really nice!

Thanks for the tip, I'll give them a go!
