Last night my friend's band were selling t-shirts at a gig they played, and they provided punters with washing instructions saying how to look after the shirts!
I thought this was THE most un-rock'n'roll thing of all time. Any of you folk been involved with / know of any painfully un-rock'n'roll happennings? :P
-
Being moved to the off topic off topic section maybe?
-
yer dude!!! thats what happened to me... that was a bitch...
-
my best mates band wore t-shirts of their own band at one of their gigs, it was slightly odd in my opinion.they are the most un rock n roll band ever though
-
hahaah that sounds stupid, wearing your own t-shirt at your own gig lol!
speaking of t-shirts.... hows my 'sambo' t-shirt coming along indy?
-
Tell you what is Rock and Roll...
Forming a band called "Big Bollocks" comprised of a wild singer, a riff-tastic guitarist and a big-breasted female drummer.

Yeah Cream were live on BBC2 a while ago and the drummer was wearing a Cream T shirt. I'd never wear a T shirt with my name on it, so tacky

Ginger probably had to be reminded of where he was.
HE may be an amazing frimmer, but he is still a drummer.

Genius! You know what, we should do that. Ahem.
-
let me guess.... youve already done that?
-
The most un rock & roll thing I have experience of is the drummer in my brother's band years ago. His grandfather used to take and collect him from gigs - wearing one of those old man's sheepskin coats along with a trilby hat and drving gloves- in a purple Austin Maxi- oh the shame.
-
hahahaha! i dont even know what a purple austin maxi is but it sounds funny.... ahaha i can imagine a young beatle, sitting there looking thouroughly ashamed...
-
I was often there helping my younger brother - lending him gear and driving him around and all that but the worse thing was that the old man( lovely guy) would insist on talking to us and so there was no pretending " he's not with us". My brother is still mates with those guys and they still laugh about it now. The old guy is long since dead- bless his heart.
-
hahahaha!!!
what a nice way to end that passage:
"the old guy is long since dead" you know without the "bless his heart" that sentance would not have been recogniseable as a beatle post.

iron maiden have done it since...
forever.
as did lots of other bands.
but if you're just a starting band, i agree. wear a t shirt of a known, good band.. if all else fails, your shirt is going to look cool lol
-
haha great advice dude.
