Title: Harley Benton cab
Post by: gordiji on June 22, 2013, 09:29:27 PM
Thomman do a 2x12 16mm plywood cab with 2 vintage 30's for 189€ so in fact the cab is free based on their own price for 2 vintage 30's without cab.
Any comments ?

They used to sell these 2x12 cabs under the label Framus. Same dimensions with V30's. They were really a bargain. They aren't bad at all.

I've got a Thomann/Framus 2x12 - it's the one in my avatar.  I've played loads of gigs with it, rehearsed loads with different bands.

It was cheap as chips, well made, light, and sounds really, really good.  Can't recommend it enough.

I had a Harley Benton amp, which was basically an Epiphone Valve Jr in a different cabinet.

The internal parts were all upgraded, but the cab/chassis itself was very nicely made.

I'd assume the 2x12 would be just as good.
