Okay, I'm not superman but I'm a big guy. This pedal just arrived in the mail, and it seems pretty much impossible to get the thumbscrew that holds the batter cover to turn! Has anyone else had this problem with TC Electronic's pedals? Is it defective? I'm worried that the thread is jammed and if I keep applying force I will break it. I'm trying to turn it with my hand and a coin, which is what it looks like it designed to open with (rather than a tyre lever).
This is all it says in the manual online:
"Changing battery - Unscrew the thumb-screw on the back of the pedal and detach the backplate. Unmount the old battery and attach the new battery to the battery clip making sure the polarity is correct. Then remount the backplate. To save battery life; remove the input jack when you don’t play."

my thumbscreq had a slot for a coin or screwdriver - that sorted it!

Ah, sorted it now, cranked it really hard with the screwdriver, it was just very tight that's all. I haven't tightened it up quite as hard now as from the factory, so I can open it with a coin if I need to
I've found this pedal to be quite useful so far. Does what it promises to do.
