Sorta because the one on the right used to be a head which has been converted to an ultra-wee 1x10 combo. The one on the left is a matching combo power amp. The pair of which make up my new home stereo rig.

Loop out of the combo goes to Neunaber WET in, out one goes to loop return, out 2 goes to power in. Vol on the power gets it balanced up nice and then it's just use the controls on the combo to adjust things. It works amazingly well. As for the stereo, it's bloody brilliant.
Specs are that they're both Goldstar 5w 6V6 amps, the combo having a very sweet solid state loop in it. They're rather magnificent.

they look great. clips!

Would have to get Matt or Tom over for that as they have recording gear and they can play a shiteeeload better than I can :)
Also the power has other fun things. I have a Vox Tonelab that I snagged from Jon ages ago that'll go straight into that which will be fun. Also the Marshall pre-pedal.
On the sad news front both the Feline and the Stratosonic have now gone (in time to pay some stratospheric bills on the race car). However I know where the Feline has gone to, so expect a NGD at some point in the future. There may be changes occurring too... :o

Absolutely pretty twins!

Nice score, another one here for sounclips. Have fun.

Lovely John
I've had Martin modifying some Vox's for me for my low power wet/dry/wet rig
Here is the wet side:

The Vox Lil nighttrains have been converted to also act as standalone power amps by MJW amps.
So my preamps will run dry through their own power amp to a dry cab (either a 1x12" or 2x12")
Here is the preamp rack ...and a Blackmachine B6
The Power amp is either a 10w MJW power amp ...or maybe a Marshall 9100 power amp (which is way too much for my purposes.

Then a dry feed will hit the fx rack which will send signals out left and right to the Vox's (as power amps ) and on to the Marshall cabs.
The Marshall 1912s I've had since 1990 and are loaded with celestion sidewinder speakers.
The full rack ...it's a sickness really - I should seek help!

I don't understand any of this thread (well I understand the individual words, obviously, just not the whole sentences apart from the bit about the guitars)
But they all look very nice.

Bloody hell Jon, how many modules have you got there?!

It's like an axe-fx... but with actual tubes!!!
Surely some of the tones from those preamps are very similar

Bloody hell Jon :o I would not have a clue where to start with that lot :D
Sorry Juansolo nice units those

Yes I am a child of the 1980s where many players had a refrigerator sized rack
I wasn't ever happy with the modellers , and got into this pre AxeFX
It's pretty much analogue modelling as each module has the "correct" circuit to have the characteristics of the amp it's trying to impersonate.
Obviously you could argue that the power section isn't truly representative of every amps as it will be the same for each module so no switching from EL84 for Vox, 6V6 for small fender, 6L6 for bigger Fender, 5881 for Soldano, EL34 for Marshall etc.
However the power amp I use most - the little Martamp/MJW 10w single ended class A is loaded with old Mullard tubes (1x ECC83 & 1x EL34) and sounds fantastic.
I do have too many modules and there is a lot of crossover tonally , but some of the sounds are so accurate
The modified modules that replicate the sounds of Soldano SLO, ENGL, Cameron, Diezel, CAE/Suhr etc are fab.
But it has gotten a bit like Pokemod - gotta have them all :P
Those who have been to the workshop may have heard how effective the modular rig is at sensible volumes
-
Juan - nice pair of twins you have there. Every mans dream ;)
Jon - Bloody hell it seems to have grown since the last time I was down!
Paddy!

I can attest to this, i was actually shocked how easy it was to get a great, dynamic high gain tone at "sensible" volumes with the modular rig.
I'm still keeping my eyes open for an Egnater or Randall M4, although i probably can't afford one until 2014.
Back on topic - realy liking the PowerAmpCombo idea seema like a great idea for w/d rigs and for preamp junkies alike. :D

very nice :D

They look very nice John. Which speakers did you go with?
-
They're the two Eminence Ragin Cajuns I had. They're pretty damned good.
