Title: More thieving b******s
Post by: Nadz1lla on July 27, 2013, 12:05:06 PM
Hi guys,
I don't know this chap personally, but a couple of my mates have him added on Facebook and have been sharing this one around:
https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=4723786266466&set=a.1176979278508.23133.1648916152&type=1&theater (https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=4723786266466&set=a.1176979278508.23133.1648916152&type=1&theater)

If you can't see the link, here's what he says:
"Shaun Kelly

If anyone is offered or sees a 1969/70 Gibson SG Pro for sale anywhere, can they let me know PLEASE, after 35 years of gigging with it my baby went missing last night. I will be eternally grateful for any information.
Please share this people, I'm heartbroken. Thanks"

Here's a pic:

Which area did it go missing from?
Will help us know if we're likely to see it

according to some of the later posts he seems to have got it back. I certainly hope so. I can emphasise with that length of time with a guitar or 2.

Good news if indeed he has got it back.

With the dust settled, I must say that's a beautiful SG, looks awesome with the Bigsby.

Indeed it does look like it's been returned! Too rare an occurrence, but glad it's all good in the end. A bit of a shocking way to find it, though, here's his latest status:

"Thank you for sharing people, but...... GOOD NEWS!
I had a phone call this morning from a wonderful, lovely man in Plymouth who found a guitar in a hedge by the side of the road in Plymouth last night - and it's my baby
Good things do happen occasionally, and there are still a few honest people around."

....

IN A HEDGE?
The utter disrespect and ignorance of some thieving @rseholes really makes me angry. (Understatement). Seriously not a way in which any instrument should be treated. But still glad it's back with him, more than anything else.

Glad it's back with it's Daddy but what a strange story. How did the guy who found it manage to trace the owner I wonder ?

I did wonder that too, but then I know almost nothing about the world of Facebook.

Plymouth's not that big a place, and that status spread like wildfire in the area.

Not really sure how it came about, but it's defo legit.
