Just scored a Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Custom in alpine white for a great bargain! I must say the fit and finish on this guitar is excellent. All the finish is even and there is no overspray on the binding. The binding is very neat and all the inlays are clean. The frets are nice and rounded, rather than flat on top like many gibsons, which i prefer.
This guitar is also pretty heavy, because it is not weight relieved. It weighs almost 11lbs, but it feels balanced on the strap.
It does have a rosewood fret board rather than ebony, but i have become accustomed to rosewood so that is not a big deal for me. everything on this guitar is solid.
It is very loud unplugged and even with the stock pickups it sound good. I still plan on putting some bkps in when i get the money. I am leaning toward rebel yells or abraxas. I play everything from buddy guy to bloodbath so i need something that can pull it all off. I would like to have power but not sacrifice cleans.
Well thats enough rambling, but if y'all want to know anything else just ask! Here it is.

Looks great; congrats!

Nice! I've got several Japanese Epiphones, they really are very high quality guitars. And if you got it for a bargain price, even better! :D

Looks nice and sound like it is pretty darn cool!
Congrats on the deal! A good LP is just a beautiful thing.

Looks great in white! Is this actually better then a Studio?

It plays and sounds much better than any studio I have ever played. The QC also seems much better overall. I couldnt be more happy other than getting a actual Custom Shop. The neck is also closer to a '59 neck, but is not overly beefy. I have large hands and it is very comfortable!

Thx, seems to be a good alternative for a Traditional or a Standard.

Congrats from me too. That'll be a nice task decising which BKPs to fit if you do decide to change them after you have got used to the guitar.
