Juansolo's Feline is now mine (race cars are expensive when they fail), and fitted with the EMG Hetfield set. Wow, I think I've discovered my new favourite metal pickups.
But what to do with the switch that coil tapped the original pickups? Stick a Zvex SHO in the cavity for a little boost :)

Picked up this ES-339 a couple of months ago, but never posted as it probably would have been "awaiting approval".
Came with the BKP P-90s and sounds amazing.

Crikey, both look great! :o I wondered where that Feline had ended up.
Fabulously neat wiring job in the Feline, do all EMGs come with pots like that nowadays?
And I like the look of the MQs(?) in the 339, I've been thinking about putting Manhattans (or maybe a Manhattan neck plus a bridge humbucker) in a similar guitar.
-
Yeah, the EMGs are all plug and play now, no soldering required unless you want to add other things, like a SHO, which then requires cable cutting also.
-
Ha, I was in the process of writing a PM to juansolo when I noticed that the feline had been sold.... (the RY's were the main put off for me) so jealous, me? Not much.... :P
Nice looking 339.

Both sweet looking guitars. I would tear out those EMG's though. But each to his own.
-
What a lovely pair.

Gotta say the Feline with those pickups in is biblically heavy. Proper end of the world stuff and tighter than goldfish's arsehole.
Saying that, it was pretty bloody epic with the RYs also.

Nice looking 339.
I could have changed the pups no bother to be fair. The RYs did suit it though, worth giving a chance before swapping them to something else.

Yeah, but I was too slow outta the blocks!
When I first saw it dismissed it put of hand, I mean it's Purple! the more I looked at the more it grew and had I been able to post in the seconds out forum I'd've registered an interest. I'd want something old Sokol like riff raffs or something. Good on marauder though, nice looking geetar :D
-
Both look great. I too have a 339 though mine is still with stock pickups.

That's one of the best things about it!
(Which isn't to say there's anything wrong with the rest of it!)

Both are super sexy guitars. A big congratulation on a double NGD!
I have never tried a 339, but it looks so cool with the smaller body. I'll have to find one some day so I can try the model out.

I don't know if anyone's tried one, but there's an Epiphone version too - doesn't seem to be very well publicised:
