I just bought a beautiful ES 295, after seeing Killing Joke last week 8). I love the feel, looks and sound, but the latter could be just a little better. I tune it down a whole step, like Geordie, and it sounds too woolly that way.
I'd like that bite that Geordie has.

Nantucket?
Also, will BKP's fit? I hear the 295's strings are higher than other guitars.

Nice axe, I like it a lot!
Nantucket sure sounds like the best option here. Classic P90, full, powerfull, bite. All you should need.
The other would probably be too modern or too tame. Pretty simple choice really.
Canīt comment on the height thingm but if there a regular p90s in there now I donīt see an issue, as BKP are normal size to my knowledge.

I ordered a set, so probably a review next week
Thanks

Got them today, put them in by cutting and soldering to the wires of the pups that were in there, which weren't too bad.
It all got a lot more defined and brighter, without losing the warmth and that piano like attack in the lower strings. Not too much hum with my Okko Twinsonic or even Skreddy Lunar Module.
I am much closer to Geordie's sound, but I can do jazz, rockabilly, classic rock or fuzz mayhem just as well, and all very good.
I recorded a clip today with my zoom Q3, but something went wrong with the sound, so I'll try again tomorrow.

Good to hear you like em, congrats on the new set!
Looking forward to hearing more, maybe even a full review ;)

Congrats! I like the goldtop ES295. I would love to own a Gibson, but they're beyond my limits at the moment. How the EPI performs? Tuningstability and so on? I had a look lat the new Guild Newark series, but they're rather expensive for Korean-made guitars.

The Epi is great in sound and playability, but the tuning needs attention. I'll get better tuners and nut. I payed 550 for it.
There's also the Peerless Stagemaster SC, which isn't cheap for a Korean guitar, but it does look stunning.

Peerless got good reviews, but on the same pricelevel as the Korean Guilds.
