Hey, I am going to try re-amping for the first time soon however I have encountered a potential problem that I'm not sure about. So I have a DI box, microphone all the necessary cables etc. However my interface, a Focusrite Scarlet 2i2 only has an two outputs for speakers (right and left). Is it possible to use a splitter to connect the stereo outputs back into my amp?

Another potential option is using the headphone out port, is this possible?

you want to be using a mono output, so just use the left output, ideally line out not headphone output, the re-amp box will then sort the impedance mismatch and turn it into a high impedance signal output, you will need either a stereo re-amp box or two mono re-amp boxes to do it in stereo. The other alternative being do two runs one for the left, then one for right and blend them together.

is your interface a 'line out'? what type of output is it?

It's a TRS output, and is a re amp box needed? I read somewhere that you can just plug it straight back in...

yes it's very important to use the re-amp box! the reason is because it changes to impedance to the correct output for a guitar amplifiers input, which in simple terms means that it's the same as having the actual guitar straight into an amp providing it was recorded with a DI clean in mono. If you try it without it will work but definitely won't sound as good, it will sound more muffled and frankly rubbish, seeing as you own the re-amp it seems pointless to own one if you don't use it.

I only have a DI box, or can that be used again as a re-amp box? I'm really not sure

sorry I misunderstood you, you are better off with a re-amp box, technically a DI box could be used in reverse yes.
