Well, I haven't actually got it yet. I'm picking it up on Sunday if all goes to plan. Taking a bit of a risk as I've not played one before but they seem to get alot of praise. It's an MV45 - basically looks like a JMP with more gain. Anyone had the chance to play or hear these? Pics to follow 8)

The only morgan that I am aware of is this one

The logo looks very familiar, but I think that's because it looks just like the old logo for Mordaunt-Short loudspeakers ...
-
I've heard of them, but only because of that boutique amp blind test in Guitarist last month.
Hope it lives up to expectations! :D
-
Ah, I should go and re read that then. Getting it for £700 which seems fair.
-
I've only ever seen or heard 1 Morgan amp in person.
The other guitarist in a band I tried out for had 1, but his was an 18w or 22w type of amp and totally different to the 1 you're getting.

0_o good god she's unnatractive. The only clips of these amps on youtube are of blues dentists.

Is it really wrong that I want a 3 wheeler...? If they weren't £30k I'd have one like a shot.

I guess '80s style hasn't held up very well...
I think the one they reviewed in Guitarist (the AC20, at £1,999) would probably suit "blues dentists", I was a bit surprised (not having bothered to research the brand) that yours is described as a JMP with more gain.
-
Shouldn't you be making me pedals? ;-p My only experience with 3 wheelers is reliant robins and considering I ended up travelling 50 yards upside down on a dual carriage way shiteing my pants on an icy day I'm not keen :s

Nope, it really hasn't. The body of a 13 year old boy has never really done it for me :o

Yea, I went and read that earlier - typical shite guitarist review. Here's the blurb from the site 8)
The MV45 is my take on the small box 50 watt design. It has more gain than a plexi avail but less than a SLO. It is designed to be extremely touch sensitive and will react to your pick attack and volume control better than any amp you have played. Designed to be able to run either a set of EL34 or 6v6 power tubes, it comes stock with bias test points on the back of the amp to assist you in easy tube swaps.
I cannot find one video that isn't a blues style and strangely they are mostly by american church praise guitarists 0_o I shall be slamming it hard with a fuzz box and playing stoner riffs

Printer fixed as of yesterday :) Print head was f**ked. Took a while to source a new one. Will strip and re-decal the King Conan tomorrow. It'll be just over a week after that. Expect a flurry of pedals in fact.
The Morgan will be quite a bit more stable than a Robin due to where all the weight is (up front between the two wheels rather than on top of the single one) and the fact that they're the right way around.

Alright, played it for a couple of hours and I'm glad I took the risk on a blues dentist amp.Reminds me alot of my Fryette Deliverance both in the way it's voiced and the way it feels. It's got loads of harmonic overtones and the dynamics are nuts. Really tight sounding amp. Came with a couple of Mullard el34s too. My ipotato doesn't do it justice ofcourse but here's a clip of me butchering some riffs 8)

The amp is really thin and tall.

Great sounding amp.

Yes it does sound good, even on your ipotato

at the risk of shiteeting too much on a perfectly good thread: i think those morgan 3 wheelers are *hot*! but at £30k, they are a bit of a plaything for the well heeled. not that thats something to be ashamed of, but its unlikely i will ever own one!
Edit: though I guess if I loved it that much I'd find ways to save up. Guess music is more my 'thing' :) also an expensive hobby..

Probably not what Mr.Morgan intended it to be used for?

I know about Morgans. A chap from this band digs amplifiers and I think got some stuff custom from Morgan. Been a while since I talked to him about it, but... spot the Morgan.
