Has Legra Guitars gone out of business? I can't find their website by search engine anymore...
If so, that's a damn shame! Bob lives just down the road from me, and he did some amazing work refinishing my Telecaster...
-
No idea, now you mention it the link I have bookmarked doesn't work either.
If so, as you said, it's a real shame. But it could just be the website down because of gremlins or something (fingers crossed).

I had some work done by him earlier in the year which was done by an excellent standard and he didn't mention anything in the few conversations that we had. In fact he was showing me his new designs and stating that he was pushing forward with those and not doing complete customs (design wise) anymore.
His website was massively out of date so I imagine it could be down for maintenance?

The thing is, his website isn't even resolving, so it looks like it's lapsed.
Maybe I'll give him a ring - he's a very good tech, and set my tele up brilliantly a few years back (also doesn't hurt that he's only a 10 minute drive away from me!!!)
-
I sincerely hope not. Bobs a $%ing brilliant luthier (and great guy). I'll ask him.
-
I hope not - he's a good guy and we need guys like him in the UK industry

Bobs closed the site because he's not doing full custom work any more. Hes got 3 main models of guitar that hes still building (I don't know how customisable they are; PG6/7, which is a superstrat, MG6E, a double cutaway thats probably closest in appearance to a PRS but with some very cool construction techniques if it is what I think it is, and AG6, which I know nothing about), and will be using a facebook page instead of the site.
Hes still doing repairs and teching, and he sends his regards to you lot :)

Ah, that's good news.
I'll call him and arrange a visit!
-
Ah that's good to hear :)
