Which do you guys like better and why? Personaly im undecide and hoped that yall could shed some light on the similarites/differences.

I'm not sure if Kahler are easy to get hold of having read an interview with the Judas Priest guitarists (who love the Kahler)
-
never played a kahler...
I'm actually really into the Ibanez ZR trem at the moment - ingenius piece of kit! read about it... try it....!
-
classic fender synchronised tremolo

They are back in production again.

I voted Kahler. They look nice and I like 'em better for palm muting. + it's the original divebomb vibrato.
Still, my all time favorite vibrato system is the Bigsby.
-
I like floyd rose, kahler seems to need a lot more attention cuz you have to oil it and clean it every once in a while. Floyd is more of a "set and forget" kinda tremolo.
-
I'm undecided. The Kahler has a very smooth feel to it, it feels like there's less tension pulling on the bridge when dive bombing and such, unlike the floyd rose. But the floyd rose doesn't require oiling and constant attention. Kahler's are also very expensive.
-
They're both good bridges. I prefer OFRs, but I've played Kahler'd guitars and didn't have any problem with em.
-
I like Floyds but only the Floyd Rose original like Twilight Odyssey says.
I also like the Ibanez Edge and Lo Pro Edge
Some Gotoh ones are ok too
Cheap Floyd copies are awful- lack all the good bits that make a Floyd a Floyd
Kahlers are cool but they are so softly sprung that I never got on with thm years ago - may be different now that I have matured a bit
(I was also only keen to have what George Lynch and Eddie used anyway at the time - so I was a bit biased)
Kahlers are rather wonderful bits of engineering though!
-
well, i voted floyd. i have used them a lot more which is probably why, when i finally tried a Kahler, i just didn't like it. i agree with Feline (Johnathon?) that they're fabulous pieces of engineering, but i still prefer my awkward, cantankerous old Floyds!
anyone tried a speedloader?

anyone tried a speedloader?
Yes; mechanically, it's great; feels like an OFR.
String-wise, you're screwed, unless you like Ernie Ball. PDT_008

Voted OFR
but my Schaeller is fine but even better is my Vintage Trem on the Ernie Ball. It is NOT locking but holds tuning amazingly!
-
I went for the Floyd rose because thats what I own.
I have read that the Kahler kills the sustain (more so than the floyd) any thoughts on the matter ?

Can you do alternative tunings with a speedloader?
I like the look of the headstocks without tuners.

:D Khaler.. The OFR is good but i bar-steward for string changing & it takes longer for the Tuning to settle down after string changes. The Khaler was a dodle to re-string.
As for the Khaler killing the sustain sorry it`s a myth. polite way of saying "Complete B*ll*cks" !! :P
The problem is the Khaler cost a fortune, i think i`m right in saying there about £200 -£300.
