Title: Can you take covers off HSP90s?

I am sure that it is physically possible, I guess my question is more along the lines of 'Why do we only ever see covered HSP90s?  What do they look like underneath?  Are they really that bad?'
Just curious.

I think they would look like an ugly uncovered P-90 with a re-shaped bobbin.  And you never see uncovered P-90s either!
