This was essentially somewhere to put a pair of pickups (MM bridge CS neck) that were without a guitar to go in :) I floated the idea passed Wez of a mahogany superstrat with a wraparound and here it is!
It's also officially the most bar-steward hard guitar to photograph ever. I think this is the best out of over 100 attempts. I'll have to have a go in natural light later...

love it. clips!
-
Nice, I like the Music Man-ish contouring.
-
Nice! Good shape and I like the headstock too.
-
Very nice indeed- a beast of tone no doubt.
-
Classy but simple. Looks like a sleek and powerful workhorse.
It ainīt here to show off. It just says "I am here. I kill. Deal with it."
-
Looks great, love the bridge.
-
Very nice indeed. I would imagine it sounds just as good as it looks
-
Really sleek and cool looking guitar. No bling on this baby. Makes me want to buy a dual humbucker strat-tupe guitar...
-
That looks pretty darn good
-
I don't want to seem like an idiot here, but what colour is the guitar? Black, or very very dark green?
Either way, its a cool design. Looks like she should do the business.
-
 - I'd assumed black... but now you've got me wondering
-
It's black. It's probably more me trying to get light onto the contours and messing in photoshop to make them visible. Like I say, REALLY hard to photograph!

I like that, simple and to the point.
-
Looks great!
One of my Kamikazes had a similar setup, mahogany body super start w bolt on neck. Heavy guitar, but I loved it. I used the MM in that one, too.
-
That is an awesome very very very very very very dark blue guitar. Love it.
Needs a Kahler obviously, but other than that, it's perfect.

This one is 8.5lbs. Wez cut a lot out of it to keep the weight down. IIRC the body is thinner than it started out and it's one of the reasons it ended up carved top and a particularly large control cavity.

yeah, i struggled to get any decent pic so I was hoping you would have more luck
this blurry one shows the carve a bit better:

The string is missing because this has planet waves auto trim tuners and they are a bugger when assembling and setting up a guitar. great once its all done though - very quick and tidy string changes
-
wow that's really nice :D
-
Looks great. Is it a 25.5" scale?
-
looks killer
-
Oh woof... I like it even better with your pic Wez.
-
Looks great. Is it a 25.5" scale?
Yeah, its an allparts fat neck recarved slightly and with the headstock reshaped
-
Love it, looks awesome.
-
I give in, you'll just have to trust me that it looks cool as f**k, because I simply can't photograph it to save my live :( Here's the best of the last attempt:

To me, those are pretty decent pictures.
Black guitars are a nightmare, but for some reason I have real trouble photographing cherry guitars - my camera wants to make them a funny orangey colour and obscure all the grain in the mahogany. :?
-
They look great on the preview in the camera. Can see the carve nicely. Get it onto the computer and it's all lost... Weird! I've brought it back up in those two pics with Photoshop.
-
Looks great, and that baby is going to play well, too - I know!
-
Oh yes... looks gorgeous in those latest pics
