Title: Post your camo (graphics intensive)
Post by: Peterku on May 14, 2005, 12:37:38 PM
Ben (TwilightOdyssey) wrote me in one of his PM's that the camo covers on my Mules looked quite different than the one on his Miracle Man. That made me think, LOL. I wonder if there'd ever be people who decided to collect camo covers. Every cover I've seen in pictures posted here was very unique IMO.

So let's post your pics about your camo covers. 8) Here are mine...

Every one of the Warpig covers and all of the camo covers are done individualy by hand. No two will ever be the same! weve even done it to the hardwear on peoples guitars! checkout this Nailbomb guitar made by a luthier called Nathan Shepard over here in England.

Wow Peterku! :good:

Those covers match that pickguard perfectly! I'm gonna have to post some pics of my Fire Breather with the Warpig.

Here's my cammo'd Miracle Man. You can see that it's heavily scratched, and has a more 'rusty' appearance, totally matching the fighter plane look of the TOC (Twilight Odyssey Custom) Kamikaze:

Here's the pup in the context of the guitar:

I'm wondering what would look cool on a flat black les paul with hot rod flames.  PDT_049

Wow, now THAT looks evil! It really has that rusty panzer look. Much like as if the cover had been made out of the crashed plane of the pilot in the photo on your axe.

Hmmm....

The Warpig looks like it's been made out of medieval armour, the camo cover looks like it's been made out of old military equipment.
I would like a pickup that looks like it's been made out of old car parts, like a flathead V8 or something.

Like a greasey dirty block of iron or something? V8s rule too.

Exactly! something like this: (http://www.tikiloungemag.de/Flathead.jpg)

But greasier

Wouldn't that cylinder head look cool as a pickup cover?

Or allen bolts!!! Two rows of those on an anodized cover would look very ready to tear up the 1/4 mile. 8)

Or a cover with a few deep scratches (by beast claws) and some artificial blood stains...

I'm thinking annodized chrome or nickel with black cap screws. Or heated chrome. (turns blue and yellow)

Those covers were all pristine, new and shiny at the beginning of the London Guitar Show.
Hayden just did a LOT of playing

Found this stuff called Rub and Buff in a craft shop, it's a wax that dries hard with a metalic look to it. It'll probably peel off eventually, but looks good for now!

I think you guys should perhaps get in touch with your feminine sides and have a floral cover. All this macho posturing is not good for you you know.

Like a neon pink + yellow striped SPANDEX pickup cover with flashing neon blue bobbins that fires flames when you twang the whang bar?

Most non heinous!
