Had my Birthday earlier in the week, my girl gave me a Boss MO2 and my parents and sister clubbed together and got me Manson's vouchers. I added in some money I've been saving from my second job and went to Manson's today with a mission to get some delay and reverb pedals. I think I did rather well! Managed to make the money stretch to a Vox Delay Lab and a Mooer ShimVerb.
Very happy guitar nerd, and some GAS has been sated.
Here's the new trio of toys in the attachment.

Congrats and happy tweaking!

Nice one. Happy birthday for a few days ago.

Delay Lab has a really cool look.

what the hell is a multi overtone? never seen one before! looks very cool though, and happy birthday

Cheers for the Birthday greets, guys. :)
Delay Lab has a really cool look.
Yeah man, I think the casing is actually all metal, aluminium maybe? But it looks really retro Sci-Fi, like someone took a chunk out of a control panel on Blake's 7 or Buck Rogers or something like that. It's really sturdy, though, feels like it could take a few knocks.

It's one of the new Boss "next generation" pedals, which I only learned about recently. I loved it when I heard the demos, so it went straight on the Birthday list, heh. There's another new one I'm interested in, too, the Tera Echo, but I think the Delay Lab will do pretty much what the TE can do and more, so I'm happy! :D

nice one. love the look of the delay

Nice stuff... so how does the Boss thingy work? Is it very similar to a phase shifter?
-
nice :D

Happy burfday fella! Good pedal score too :D

Schönen Purzeltag wünsch ich nachträglich, or happy birthday as you might say! ;)
Interresting look on the delay. It is modern and vintage at the same time.
Most of all though congrats on having such a great family and girl for gifting you that instead of ties and socks. You cannot measure the worth of that.

I'm not sure, not experienced a Phase Shifter myself, but it basically gives you the note you're playing and adds a kind of back-ground Octaver effect. Really great on single note stuff, sounds a bit too much on chords, but I really like it. I like it better than an Octaver, it's worth having a gander at the vids for it on the Boss site:

Cheers, I do feel very lucky to have such a musically supportive family. My girl is really helping me get back into playing and encouraging me to work hard with my new band. :)
