I found a really good deal on some 50mm spaced miracle man pickups but can only really think of putting it into one of my strats. I have a rebel yell set coming for my les Paul and I can't imagine what a miracle man would sound like in my es335
Thoughts?

Get an SG ;)
Even a cheapie Epi G400 will do the trick
-
Haha That's not really what I want to do right now
-
It shouldn't really be a problem. F spaced pickups are a relatively new development. when people first dropped humbuckers into strats, like EVH, they were just standard sized. His seemed to work ok :)
-
Yeah that's true. Come to think of it I forgot that I already have a g spaced humbucker in 2 strats already haha
-
But I think EVH put his 50mm humbuckers on a slant, like with a Kramer Baretta, in order to compensate.
-
Yeah but how big a difference could it really make?
-
No idea. Generally I would think that the more powerful the pickup the less difference it's likely to make. The Miracle Man shouldn't have any problems in that respect
-
Yeah I've only really used high output 50mm in my strats. I have a seymour Duncan invader in one and a gibson dirty fingers in another and had no problems. But I could see how the low output pickups Would really need the correct spacing

Its more of a cosmetic issue than anything else.

well thanks guys. i ended up not buying the set. i really gotta do one thing at a time. and its hard to remember that. my rebel yell set will be in soon. and if i ever get my Tele to sell, i can work on my empty strat.
