Title: who here had ordered a prewired pickguard?
Post by: littleredguitars2 on October 12, 2013, 11:39:34 PM
Mostly curious about how long it takes for the guys to finish them and usually get them sent out?  They usually send out regular pickup orders next day so I'm curious if it takes them a while?

The prewired pickguards take no longer than other orders. If its quickness you want you need not worry :)

I'm not worried.  Just curious.  I figured it would have shipped out yesterday

I've had 3, possibly more, pre-wired scratchplates from BKP and all have been done very quickly and to the highest standard as you'd expect.

Anything that is probably not lying around in inventory you should allow an extra three days ... my etched bridge pickup took a little longer.  I would expect a pickguard as specific as yours to take the same.  How many HSP-90 wired pickguards do you think they have in inventory?  None I'd expect.  So someone would have to move from his/her regular production routine and sort that out. I'm sure they get onto this stuff ASAP though

Yeah that was my thought as well agent Orange.  It'll probably be sent out by mid next week.  I'm more ansy for this guitar than for my les Paul to be finished.

I had a pre-wired guard this summer.

Think it took knocking on a fortnight to dispatch.

I ordered set of Mules a month back and they took almost as long due to holidays, paternity leave, etc.

Maybe they haven't quite caught back up yet?

I ordered a Cold Sweat bridge with etch on Friday 6 September this year.

It dispatched on Tuesday 10 September.

I received it here in Australia on Thursday 17 September.  I had it installed by Tuesday 22 September.

I'd say that was pretty good! The only real delay was the post, which always takes a while and is not within Bare Knuckle's control.

I've got a prewired Strat pickguard, can't remember how long it took but it wasn't more than two weeks.  It's an "aged" one too, so that added more work.

Be fair, it has to take a little longer, they can't just have them sitting around boxed and ready to ship.  Patience is a virtue!
