other than the fact i should have turned my amp up a bit more, i'm liking the way this showcased the stockholm. i love this pickup. its killer

i wrote the riff last night. hoping to "finish" it soon

Whoooa! What a pickup, what a sound!
To be honest I was never looking at P90 and never played them either. After reading your thread about Stockholm (just being curious) i took a look on the website and honestly I was totally blew away by the sound of the Stockholm P90.

Can you really achieve that overdriven sound from BKP website?
Can you record some other riffs with distortion please?
That pickup really got my attention and Im looking forward to hear more.
Many thanks.

Truly immense sound mate!
Has anyone had any experience with neck version of that pup?

i can totally get that overdriven tone from the bkp sound sample but i'll make another video showing some more to help you out. seriously its immense.

That`s great, looking forward to hear it!!!! My jaw dropped a while ago when listening to those clips and cannot pick it up yet

If those overdriven tones from BKP website are achievable so easily it makes that pup a real killer.
I`m looking for that distinctive growl and raw bark with massive bottom-end and retained clarity. Are those elements presented in the overall sound while turning overdrive/distortion on?

Im not a big fan of Muse or even that type of music, but that pup can do even more than that type of sound I suppose.
keep it up!

well for right now, i did a direct comparison to show you how close i can get to the sample sound clip. i'll have the video up soon. and its VERY close. keep in mind, i play that sort of style already, so my amp is definitely for that sort of playing (mesa boogie dual rectifier roadster) but i'll post it once i have it uploaded.

but it is quite sensitive to pickup height and to tweaking the volume knob. so it can definitely be a very versatile pickup. i have my gain somewhat high so its definitely achievable but theres a ton that it can still do.

Thanks a million!
As long as that growl and huge bottom end with clarity will be there Ill be a happy man!
It`s not that kind of pup with nice, polished sound and that what`s make it standing out. DIRRRRT!

brilliant job! it does create that type of sound. Immense. And once again thanks! Well... another great pickup but not enough guitars... will have to get one dedicated for that pickup then. My wallet screams already!

cheers.

That`s the problem with BKP, you want them all. On their boxes they should put a label with warning: 'Caution, once you try them, Ill get addicted' no joke!

Considering all sets what I want to try, I would end up with 7 guitars... hahahaha  crazy!

Yeah I want a juggernaut bridge and a mule set.  And I want to try the 10th anniversary ones.  I see them on eBay every now and then

On the BKP Stockholm sample, I'm pretty sure Nolly has stated somewhere here that that fast lead part of the track on both that and the Supermassive clip were recorded on the neck pickup, as you say in the video

I just recorded an old green day cover with it and it sounded great too.  What sort of style so you play

was trying to think about the type of application and music style which suits that pickup the best and let it shine its best.
To be honest it realy got my attention to the point of 'wooow'! I was in that kind of state after listening to BKP Juggs 'Heavy Lead demo' too.
shame that P90 are so underestimated, they deserve more publicity and attention without the doubt.

congratz on nice pickup as well as great playing, keep it up!
