Title: Rig question... ADA MP1 with VS8008 valevestate SS poweramp.
Post by: Pierre on March 11, 2006, 11:44:09 PM
A friend of mine could sell me this rig. I could trade in my AOR for it I think. I like rack gear, and I could always run the ADA in stereo with the POD 2.0 like this, I could get some killer sounds! I'd just need a cab then. How is that poweramp?

If you have chance to buy an ADA MP1 go for it.
I have an 8008 and its OK - no better than that though. I'm thinking about replacing it with a valve power amp sometime soon.

those ADA preamps are really nice - some very decent tones in there. The guy from Extreme (Nuno Bettencourt) used them live and got some tasty sounds.

Mhmm turns out he wants about 280 pounds for both power and preamps, and I'd still need a cab. Out of my league. Too bad. I may get the ADA out of him for whenever I have the cash if he still have it though. Thanks guys!
