Title: Guitar techs near Bristol/Bath
Post by: Ben_W on November 28, 2013, 03:21:10 PM
Hi all,

I quit guitar for around 4 years or so, and am beginning to listen to more guitar-y music again and am rekindling the joy of guitar I lost!

However one of my guitars has a locking trem and could do with a good set up, although I have never really done much on my locking trem guitar, so am not hugely confident messing around with it!

Does anybody know of a good guitar tech in or around the Bath/Bristol area that they have used and had good experiences with?

Cheers!

He's not really near you, but Will Scott in Pembrookshire is a great tech.  He's built me several guitars and set up others for friends. http://will-scott-guitars.co.uk/ (http://will-scott-guitars.co.uk/)

Dylan aka Daemoness guitars is in Bristol, might be worth giving him a shout to see if he does general tech stuff. I know they're snowed under with custom builds at the moment but if he does tech too he might be able to squeeze you into the schedule?

Cheers guys, appreciate it. Dylan sounds a lot closer! Am not in a huge rush as it's not my main guitar! Will give him a call one day to see if he's free over next couple of months! Thanks.

No worries, here's the Daemoness facebook: https://www.facebook.com/daemonessguitars?fref=ts (https://www.facebook.com/daemonessguitars?fref=ts)

Send him a message through there if you can't find a number for him.

Dave Rowlinson or Si at Waghorn Guitars are consistently very good indeed - they're based right in the centre of Bristol:

I've been using their services for more than 10 years now and wouldn't go anywhere else.
