So, at last i bought this little thing from my buddy. Alexi-600 flying V, as a backup to my jackson rr24. this beaut will be fitted with a juggernaut, open yellow coils. the rr24 has yellow pinstripes and a blackhawk so they'll be sisters :)
jugg is ordered so i'm just waiting on it to get this baby working. curious to hear how the jugg will match up with the blackhawk.
pics to prove it happened :)

Alexi as in Laiho?

Alexi as in Laiho?
Alexi Laiho indeed.
Wow, that's nice. I very nearly bought the pink one a few years back but I just couldn't afford it at the time. There is just something magical about a pink and black colour scheme 8)

my band buddy didn't get on with the fat wide neck, so he sold it to me for 450$CAD. nice price as it's brand new, almost.

Congratulations! :D

here's the beast with the juggernaut that arrived today. i still have to do floyd intonation and i really don't feel like it so no strings for now.
no volume knob. just an on off switch.

Like the coloured pickup, a vibrant green would have looked cool 8)

here's the full concept. still need to intonate the floyd. BTW 11-56 is a wonderful gauge on 25.5 scale for tuning to Full D.
the juggernaut is great. I can definitely hear the blend of both ceramic and alnico. i wired mine straight to the jack but TBH it's a bit much there's alot of highs. great and single-coily on the low strings but on the high strings it's a bit, ice picky. i'll put a BKP pot in there (500k) and maybe it'll fix that.
tons of output, really, i started with the pickup at 3 mm and to balance with my ceramic blackhawk i definitely pulled it further back. no measurements but i'll have to readjust the beast once i put a proper pot.
i realize it's a misha mansoor sig and i really hear that click and tightness but that's what makes it a great pickup, not just a sig one. make it your own there are some good metal tones to use in there. i use these axes in a sabaton cover band so we're far from djent here!
good buy, thanks tim and co! i got it in about 9 business days and i'm in Canada. great service as always.
[edit] you're right green would've been great but as you can see i had a concept in mind haha
