Hi,
I've recently bought a bridge Rebell Yell, and i am just noticing that it's a wide spacing model. My guitar is a Gibson ThePaul (like a Les Paul but with no maple top, and Black American Walnutt instead of Mahogany) with a standard spaced string. Can i use still use this pick up ?
Thank you

Hi and welcome.
If I recall correctly this should not make a huge difference, hardly a problem usually. Far as I recall EVHs frankenstein guitar has wrong spacing too.

I really doubt you would notice a tonal difference. It's mostly about how the sound drops a tiny bit with bends and such when the string is no longer over the pole . Which is why some people like pickups like the black hawk that has long rails so you get no drop out. But it's pretty hard to notice

Thanks ! I intend to use this pick up only with quite a lot of gain, so a slight volume change during a bend is not a big issue.

Yeah I doubt you'll notice a thing

I'll be interested to hear how the RY sounds in walnut. I had a walnut SG for a while that had a very different sound to my mahogany SG.

No problem, i can record some sample once i have set the pick up. I have been advised to choose the RY by the team of Bare Knuckle.

I know it's been said countless times but - be prepared to spend a lot of time adjusting the height of the RYs. They are very sensitive to height adjustment and experimentation will let you find your own sweet spot.

It's a company that offers you laser therapy for your balding scalp which does not work but will eventually after thousands of dollars spent soften you up to have a hairpiece glued to your head which needs to be checked and reglued to your head every month for the rest of your life. Which again costs thousands of dollars. Unless you are one of their cricket star endorsees, who get it for free for the indignity of being in their ads.
The 'yeah yeah' followed by someone else saying 'hey man, that's my line' was all the rage at my student accommodation back in '96
