BLACKMACHINE B6 2013 #16
Specs:
Guitar: BLACKMACHINE B6 No.16 (2013)
Bare Knuckle Coldsweat Bridge / VHII Neck(reversed pol)
Petrucci Style wiring & Switch
1 Vol/No tone.
2piece lightweight swamp ash body
Indian rosewood fretboard
Maple neck with dyed black maple fillets
Schaller Hannes, Carbon fibre/black chrome
Sperzel Locking Tuners
REVIEW:
The first feeling i got from fiddeling some high notes on the clean channel was that it feels like silk, the BK-VHII humbucker is incredibly clear and the harmonics are just perfect . In the middle position (split humbucker mode) it got an amazing piezo feeling, good string separation with that acoustic vibe going on.
I quickly got into heavier chugging stuff with hi-gain. This guitar is meant to be played hard! The sound is pretty dark with allot of attack. The maple/swamp ash combo is doing something magically with the acoustics and the pickups captures that dark vibe perfectly!
This guitar is a workhorse. It's the real deal, you feel that instantly when you pick it up and plug it in. It is light and sounds HUGE, i love the simplicity and i could not have selected any better pickup combination..
I´ll post some clips later on.
Comments are welcome!

Wow, lots of New Guitars for the New Year today! :D
Lovely guitar, and welcome to the forum by the way.

That's such an elegant guitar, a bit too modern for me but I can certainly appreciate the quality.
And as Philly said, welcome aboard.

yes - this is one of our ones, completed and shipped out just prior to Xmas.
Been a busy year with the Blackmachine B6s and next year will be equally so.

Very attractive guitar and class choice of pickups!

If I may ask... what's the price range on these? I couldn't find quotes anywhere. I'm prospect shopping for a barebones metal machine but I dislike wizard-type necks (thin and wide) in favor of chunkier, narrow necks (think musicman).
I also see that the B2 has a 42mm nut width while the B6 has a 43... I'm assuming that's customizable too?
Thanks!

You can see some quotes on the facebookpage, the B6 go for around 2500£ ish, and the only thing that is customizable is the pickups.
The neck is thin but not wizard-thin, you should try one, they are really comfy.

Unfortunately that is not really feasible, I live in one of the smallest countries in continental Europe! Very limited selection here...

Had Doug(Blackmachine) over for dinner on Friday and he brought over one of his B2s so we took a joint photo of our own guitars

Holy shite! that LP finnish... is that a quilted maple burst?
-
Yes it's somewhere between a flame top and a quilt and the colour is great

Just ordered another set of Mules I want to try again in there - I keep going back and forth between Vintage and contemporary pickups
-
it's a joy to stare at those pics! What camera did you use to take the photos?
-
I don't know what Palle who has the B6 used
My own pictures were taken with a Sony A580 with a 35mm lens (and two Profoto D1 strobe lights fitted with 4'x1' softboxes fitted with grids on the front and maybe a silver reflector to bounce a bit of light back in too.
I don't alter anything drastically in Photoshop or anything as I prefer to show things as they look to the eye, however I may correct exposure if they come out a bit bright or dark and add a little sharpness to the picture.

I use a Nikon D600, with a really old 50mm lens, 1970 something :)
-
That guitar looks amazing!
